Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Quietspire LLC, which makes SayMath. By using SayMath you agree to them, and to our privacy policy, which says what we keep and why.

Your account

You sign in to SayMath with Apple, with Google, or with a code we email you; signing in is required to use it. Use one account per person, and keep the email you sign in with working, since it is how you get back in. You must be 13 or older to use SayMath, and a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for anyone under 18 who buys Pro. A student status from a school email is for students and educators at that school only.

Free and Pro

Free includes unlimited dictation of words and 5 math dictations a week. Pro adds unlimited math, our most accurate model, editing by voice and longer hands-free dictation. Each new Mac gets 7 days of Pro once. A friend’s invite gives a month of Pro, and you get a month for each friend who joins with your link and uses SayMath on three days or starts paying. We may change what Free includes; if we do, the app tells you first.

Paying for Pro

Pro costs $12 a month, $60 every 6 months, or $72 a year, in US dollars, plus any tax that applies. Students whose account has a verified school email pay half: $6 a month, $30 every 6 months, or $36 a year. You choose a plan in SayMath (Settings, Account, Get Pro) and pay on a page run by Stripe, our payment processor.

Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, charged to the payment method you gave, until you cancel. If you buy while you still have free Pro time, the first charge comes when that time ends. Before a yearly plan renews, we send a reminder to the email you gave at checkout.

Cancel any time in SayMath: Settings, Account, Manage subscription, then Cancel. You can also email support@quietspire.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

Refunds. Payments are not refunded for time already started, and deleting your account cancels your subscription without a refund for the time left, except where the law requires otherwise.

Price changes. If a price changes, we tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal at the new price, and you can cancel before then.

Failed payments. If a renewal can’t be charged, Stripe tries again over the following days. Pro pauses after a few days until the payment goes through.

What you dictate

What you dictate is yours. So that SayMath can work, you let Quietspire use, copy and process it to provide and improve SayMath, and, as the privacy policy describes and unless you opt out, to license math dictations and their corrections to other companies. This permission is worldwide and free of charge, and it ends for anything you delete or opt out of, except copies already licensed before you did.

Using SayMath fairly

Don’t use SayMath to break the law or anyone’s rights, to send automated or scripted requests to our server, to get around the free plan’s limits, to resell access, or to copy or take apart our server or models. We may suspend an account that does.

Check the math

SayMath turns speech into words and math with AI, and it can be wrong. Check results before you rely on them, especially in exams, graded work, engineering or medicine.

No warranty

SayMath is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise it will always be available, error free or right for your purpose.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Quietspire is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, grades or profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it, or $50 if that is more.

Ending

You can stop using SayMath and delete your account at any time in Settings, Account. If these terms end, the parts about what you dictate, warranties and liability still apply.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the app tells you before the change applies to you. Using SayMath after that means you accept the new terms.
